Moving in

This is my new home.

Welcome to wordpress, people! Until I decide to get a place of my own (aka flaminarse.net)

I can't import my haloscan comments though so if you would like to read the comments, then you would have to jump over to blogspot!

I am checking out some hostings. Some are as cheap as RM8 per month which is a good bargain for SQLs, PHPs, FTPs, ASPs. I might take up those bargains!

Keep in touch peeps! ;)

To my dearest Tua Ee

It's been some time since you left us for a better place. It feels weird. Sometimes, I subconsciously call out to you and Ah Ma when I go over but only to be responded by dead silence or rather by Si Ku's voice.

Lots of things happened after you left us. Ah Ma is now with you. We now have a new king of the house. A spoilt, mischevious, cheeky, clever king. He's growing up marvelously but he doesn't poo so often. Mum is trying to get him to poo often. He is really scared of Uchong, haha, and whenever Uchong is around, he behaves. It's good to have someone he is scared of. He is often naughty. Mum sometimes call me 'bad-heart' cause sometimes I get angry with Ethan and I threaten to NOT friend him. But he always have plenty of friends around.

I am now working. Yep. Mum and Dad can now rest after working so hard for so long to get us all into good universities and colleges. Ai Ling is now in Japan, studying anthropology. She's doing fine there. I plan to drag mum and dad to Japan before they decide against it like when Pei Ling was in UK. Pei Ling is expecting her second child. We are all hoping that the baby will be a girl this time. But no biggies if the baby is a boy. BUT that would mean MORE trouble.

I really miss you. You are like our second mother, always wanting to buy us fancy stuff and asking us not to tell mum and dad. I remember you said you were gonna bring me to cameron because I haven't been there. But I have and I knew you were there with me too. I know mum misses you and everytime before we leave for holiday (Uhmm…that's only once, soon…soon), she will ask you (and now granma) to tag along. Hope you had as much fun as we did. I was excited when I sat the plane. So was dad and we had to fight for the window seat. Hahah. But for my first ride on the airbus, it was totally empty so I could practically sit anywhere.

I remember taking pictures of you before you left but my computer chose that moment to crash leaving me no pictures or memories of you of just before. I was sad and I cried knowing that I don't have any recent pictures of you. But memories of you will always be fresh in my head.

Gambling isn't so fun anymore now that you are not here. But we have Aunty Ah Soon to take over your place as the bubbly aunty. She certainly does brighten up our Chinese New Year mood. Everytime we play 21, I always imagine you and Ah Ma to be nearby. I can also imagine your infectious laughter which will keep us laughing till we fall off the chair. Good times. Good memories.

We are all doing well now, don't worry. Tell ah ma not to worry too. Gi ku is doing well. At times he talks clearly at times he doesn't but we can see that he is happy when we (the nieces and the KING) comes home to see him. We take him out for rides and bring him over for lunch.

The other cousins are doing well too. They are all growing up well. Ah Ee and family are doing fine too. We all still meet up for big gatherings and get togethers.

Sorry I haven't been putting flowers or buying your favourite char koay teow and black coffee. I will when I go down.

We miss you and we love you dearly.

Our beloved, Tua Ee.

Sucks

I’ve been whinning about Performing arts and how wonderful it will be if I am able to get myself involve somehow.

An opportunity came and I was stuck on a dead end. I would LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE to go for this but it’s so far from where I live and public transportation is hellish there. Plus, it’s a pretty posh area and I know I wont make enough to make ends meet. It’s pretty devastating that I have an opportunity so great that I have to turn it down.

The time will come when I have my own company.

But she was pretty nice when I turned it down. Even offering me a chance to ask when I am ready to move on. Nice.

All that cheese and grease

Grease was a disappointment.
For starters, the management was bad enough to let a few herds of people in after the show started.
Also the same when the intermission ended.
I feel that if these people can’t keep their timing right, they shouldn’t be there.
But the management wasn’t strict enough. Anyways, there wasn’t that BIG GONG. (Istana Budaya joke, geddit? geddit?!)

Secondly, we had a very VERY irritating announcer that announces every FIVE minutes that the show will begin, in FIVE minutes. And that was like 4-5 times before the show finally began.

Thirdly, the lead guy and gal (Danny and Sandy) are just not fantabulous enough. When summer nights started, sandy obviously had the louder mike. So she drowned Danny. Danny on the other hand doesn’t have a powerful voice. Powderful voice also none.

Fourth, the choreography was messy. Oh yeah. messy. Girls were dancing like guys. Seriously.

Fifth. It wasn’t in Istana Budaya.

I really think KLCC isn’t meant for theatre shows. They don’t have the right equipment and definitely not the sound system. The sounds doesn’t reach your ear enough to give you that impact. That kinda impact where you mouth hangs open. Seatings were great no doubt. But I would definitely have enjoyed it more if it was in Istana Budaya.

The only person that I think shone throughout the show is Rizzo. She was the character through and through.

There was more talking than singing, really. But the talking was fast and irritating. It’s a bit like the show, the way they talked but I think the actors in the show has set a very high benchmark that is pretty impossible to reach.

The view was definitely worth the RM170 bucks. My mum screamed on the phone when I told her how much it was. Eeeep!

The next day, a few of us had a really good sunday afternoon meal. ANNNDDDD they have me to thank. :)

A bunch of us hopped on to Hard Rock Cafe because I was simply dying for a Mixed Grill Fajita. The best BEST place for a great fajita is definitely Hard Rock. It’s juicy and tender and delicious! On top of that, order the Hard rock special – the Cecil orange clove tea.

Tomas had only one thing in his mind. The burgers. No where serves BIG juicy burgers like HRC. uchong had the same.

Gauri had the shrimp fajitas which looked equally yummy and Jen certainly had a feast with her hickory BBQ chicken (?- correct jen?) which was oooozing with great BBQ sauce. PG went for the cheesy baked fish.

Ben always came home on sundays carrying two balloon swords and a giraffe erm, hat. For the small boy la, k? Not me. And he says the balloon man comes in every sunday to make and give FREE balloons. That’s right. If you feel like you want a free flower balloon or a caterpillar, drop by on sunday afternoons at HRC.

PG’s caterpillar

By the end of lunch session, we have with us, a caterpillar, two dogs and a veryy very long sword and a coupla pictures to remind us of our FREE LUNCH!!!! shhheeeeessshhh lucky peeps.

So on the whole, I had a LOVELY weekend. Thanks peeps. And thanks Jen for staying over!

The finale. The four of us with the erm, dead caterpillar and pooped out poopies. Dogs in other words.

Me no see

On a trip to a dog carnival that is held every year by the vetenary department of UPM, I managed, ok, WE managed to take a few pictures. So many people turned up every year with so many different kinds of dogs but the most common are the paria dogs and the scottish terriers. *I* would love to have a jack russell!!

Wahahahaha…wahahahahaha

We all had a rather boring morning until Jeanster, a World Class Director, premiered her latest work.

I sense a new film in the making. Knowing Jean, it’ll be as hilarious as this!!

Hahahaha…thanks for the morning entertainment!

A friend in need is a friend indeed

Sometimes, friends expect too much out of you.
You lend them a shoulder to cry on. You listen to them when they talk but that doesn’t mean you agree with everything they say.
He could be bad, she could be good. But really, I cannot be the judge of it if I am not there.
I may not be the best person for advice but I listen. I’m scared that I give the wrong advice and most importantly if I am honest to you, you may not take it.
I may be thoughtless but really, it’s only how you feel.
Sugar and spice isn’t always nice.
